If you find that your power settings are missing High Performance and you only see options for "Balanced" or other energy efficient options, you can easily restore the High Performance plan by opening an elevated Command Prompt and executing a text command.
1. Type Command Prompt in your search bar.
2. Once you see the option for Command Prompt, right click on it and select "Run as Administrator".
3. Once the prompt opens, type the following command: powercfg -s /SCHEME_MIN and press enter.
4. Return to Power Settings and see if High Performance is there. You may need to refresh the screen for it to show up.
